On-Site Activities

Giant Swing
Challenge your self and swing through the trees on our 18 metre Giant Swing. A great team activity for building teamwork, trust, communication and confidence.

Low Ropes Course
This has a series of physical activities on a specially designed course. Designed to encourage coordination, concentration, agility, mutual support and self-confidence.

Archery
We have two targets, two bows and sixteen arrows. Located in a very safe area, this activity is a fun skill building activity.

Basketball & Volley Ball
Two Outdoor courts are available and used during free time or for competitive inter group games.

9 Hole Disc Golf Course
Just like golf, disc golf features nine tees and nine holes (baskets). Simply pick up a set of discs including a tee off. QR codes here – link

Hut Building
Challenge your self to see what kind of hut can be created. Utilize the available materials and see what you can build. Make sure it is waterproof – so you can survive.

Initiative Activities
These fun activities require cooperation, coordination, and problem solving. They require teamwork. A lot of enjoyment can be had whilst working as a member of a team.

Orienteering
Two different courses are provided on the camp site
– Bearing and clue (map reading only)
– Score orienteering (using a compass)

Table Tennis
A table tennis table is available. Can be a great form of recreation or used for more serious competitions.

Giant Chess
Fun for all ages this rather large outdoor chess set can keep you occupied for hours.

Damper Making
Best done in small groups of 6-10. Damper cooking can be done onsite or at the campfires located in the Great Otway National Park close by. (Weather permitting).

Concert
What a way to end a camp! Legends often come from camp concerts. There is a stage, a PA and microphone available in the hall.

Climbing
The core aim of this activity is to develop team building, communication and confidence. Angahook has 2 climb walls, a ‘leap of faith’ and a zip line.

Arts and Crafts
A variety of crafts can be done using materials collected from around Angahook or draw ideas from the surrounding environment

Off-Site Activities

Bush Walks and Hikes
Some great walks start close to Angahook. The Great Otway National Park has a number of walks. From Angahook, it is a 2½ km walk to the Great Ocean Road, beaches and Split Point Lighthouse. The Great Ocean walk follows the cliffs through Aireys Inlet.

Narana – Dreaming for Kids Program

Geelong’s award-winning Aboriginal Cultural Centre is a significant attraction situated on Wadawurrung/Wathaurong Country along the Surf Coast Highway at the gateway to Victoria’s Great Ocean Road.
Narana means to deeply ‘listen & learn’ in which you take in and live out. It’s a listening and learning for life. We seek to build an understanding of Aboriginal history and culture in a welcoming, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

  • Recommended for Kinder – Grade 3
  • Boomerang throwing or traditional Aboriginal games
  • Guided walk through our native garden (learn about bush tucker and traditional medicines)
  • Feed the animals
  • Dreaming story and dance
